Who we are: Trevor Riches

Trevor Riches
After qualifying in medicine, Trevor Riches moved into clinical psychology and psychotherapy, incorporating pastoral counselling, meditation, stress control and aspects of self-awareness. For forty years, he has practised holistic healing.

He conducts retreats and seminars, throughout the UK and abroad, he is consulted by schools and education authorities, clinics, industrial concerns, youth offending teams and anti-drug agencies.

He was for twenty-five years a magistrate and chairman of a juvenile court in London.

His experience includes work with mental sub-normality, autism and physical handicap.

He has run a healing sanctuary for most of his working life.

An ordained Franciscan priest, Trevor has a particular interest in the spiritual dimension, in whatever form this has meaning to the individual and in its relationship to the whole person.

Franciscan Sanctuary of Holistic and Spiritual Healing
The Sanctuary of St Francis helps individuals to make their own journeys towards harmony and integration, personal growth, physical health, inspiration and spiritual enlightenment.

Holistic healing is a learning process through which our physical, psychological and spiritual dis-ease, or illness, shows us the path to our well-being.

In the grounds is the Sanctuary building, a haven of peace, reflection and relaxation.

The Sanctuary provides both conventional and complementary approaches towards psychological and physical health and does so in the context of the individual’s unique spirituality.

The outreach is ecumenical in the widest sense, serving those of all faiths and none in particular.

No charges are made for healing, but all donations clients are able to afford towards the work and expenses of the Sanctuary are much needed and most welcome.
